The Boundary Sentinel is the newest member of the group representing 12,000 regional residents. Editor, Mona Mattei brings a unique insight into her community with her experience as an economist and small business consultant. As a journalist she has quickly moved to the top of her field. Her in-depth knowledge of local issues and connection to local people gives her an edge that people who care about their region respect. In 2008, Mona was nominated for a Jack Webster Award recognizing excellence in journalism in B.C. for her in-depth analysis of uranium mining in the Boundary region.

The Source is headed by Kyra Hoggan, former editor of the print-based Castlegar Current.  Kyra not only brings extensive journalistic experience, but a passion for local news that makes the Source a strong voice for the Castlegar community.  Kyra ensures that content is timely, meaningful, and always engaging.  Serving a total population of approximately 9,000, the Source has already seen extensive penetration, and extensive interaction on the site.
